INTRODUCTION TO OCEANOGRAPHY

Prerequisite: a college level science course, EAS 1540, a marine science
course or permission of the instructor (any of these).

A field course covering topics presented in EAS 1540, but
presented in the field on Appledore Island, Maine at the Shoals Marine
Laboratory. This one credit option CAN be taken alone!


Topics/activities include:
Plankton tow, CDT casts, water bottle sampling, chlorophyll analysis (fluorometry), nutrient chemistry analysis, along with data acquisition, processing, analysis and display.
