Open-water cruises to observe fish, whale, seal and bird behavior. Lecture and lab material is organized phylogenetically, i.e., instruction begins with a consideration of hag fishes and lampreys, continues with the study of cartilaginous and bony fishes, describes migratory sea turtles, sea and shore birds, and ends with an overview of seals and whales.
