EMPLOYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: See categories and definitions of faculty, guest lectures and TAs
[A] Core faculty (and some research mentors*) are hired by Cornell to teach at Shoals. Faculty are paid ($170/day); follow the instructions you'll receive electronically from Christine Bogdanowicz and CALS/HR* approximately 2 weeks before you are scheduled to start teaching. Please keep copies of all documents for your records. *CALS Human Resources Rep. Tricia Rafferty, par236@cornell.edu, or (607) 254-2240 (Mon-Fri).

[B] Guest lecturers are paid by Cornell to teach at Shoals ($100/day) with prior approval from the SML director; follow the instructions you'll receive electronically from Christine Bogdanowicz approximately 2 weeks before you are scheduled to teach. Please keep copies of all documents for your records. If teaching at Shoals on a day trip; please see our island coordinator for assistance.

[C] Teaching assistants are paid by Cornell to teach at Shoals ($657/week). Please follow this link to learn more about being a TA on Appledore Island.
