Relive the "golden days" of the Appledore House Hotel era with founding director Dr. John M. Kingsbury, SML staff and volunteers.  Weekend activities will include discussions, presentations, and field activities centered around the human and natural history of the Isles of Shoals. Perhaps the mood will even hearken back to a century ago, when Celia Thaxter hosted famous literary and artistic guests in her Victorian salon.

Throughout the weekend, our chefs will feature delicious meals featured in The Appledore Cook Book (published in 1872!); participants will be invited to participate in meal preparation, if interested!  This is an extremely-special and unique opportunity-for both returning participants and anyone interested in the Isles of Shoals!
