MAY Artist Weekend:
This
spring painting weekend is for artists looking for a touch of
adventure. Gulf of Maine weather in May is very unpredictable. In past
years we have had anything from beautiful warm weather to (just a
little) snow. If you enjoy some of the challenges of painting outside
you will be rewarded by experiencing Appledore Island in spring. (There
are many good views out of windows and indoor painting spaces.) This
workshop is an opportunity for artists who would like to paint the
rugged landscape of Appledore independently in any medium. Evening

AUGUST Exploring Appledore Through Art Workshop:
Since
the late nineteenth century, Appledore Island has been a haven for both
amateur and professional artists, including the famous Childe Hassam.
In this tradition we invite you to join us for a long weekend of
drawing, painting and printmaking. This workshop is an opportunity for artists (beginners and professionals alike!) who would like to use the rugged landscape of Appledore as their palette. Participants will have the opportunity to create an art journal, book or poster. We
will have optional evening events, group critiques
