STUDENT section: Seabird Conservation Internship

Project Puffin Internship offered in cooperation with the Audubon Society and Cornell's Laboratory of Ornithology

ELIGIBILITY: Must be Cornell undergraduate student.

DESCRIPTION: An internship offered as part of National Audubon Society's Seabird Restoration Program. Work includes, but is not limited to: seabird diet studies, productivity monitoring, chick growth, seabird survival, telemetry and vegetation and predator management studies.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS: Positions require primitive camping and working on offshore islands. Days are long, and require a minimum of two, 3-hour observation stints each day in a small, wooden blind, weather permitting. All participants camp in the bird colonies (no electricity or running water; composting toilet only). Food and worker's comp are provided.

STIPEND: $255/week
